Biography
I have lived in Krakow since early childhood.
From 1991 to 1993, I studied painting and drawing in Kyiv.
In 1998, I graduated in Art Education from the Higher Pedagogical School in Krakow (now the Institute of Art at the Pedagogical University).
My diploma project consisted of a series of paintings entitled “Balconies of Kyiv”.
In 1998 and 2003, I spent several months on artist residencies at the Künstlerhaus in Cuxhaven, where I received the “Künstlerhauspreis Cuxhaven 1998” award.
In 2000 and 2001, I received distinctions at the International Lviv Autumn Salon “Vysokyi Zamok” in Lviv.
In 2002, I received a residency scholarship at the Gartenhaus in Otterndorf, followed by a similar residency in Stade in 2004.
I mainly work in easel painting, and for many years the subjects of my paintings have centred around the urban landscape. I have “portrayed” cities such as Kyiv, Vilnius, Krakow, Lublin, Katowice, Vienna, Otterndorf, Stade, Lyon and others.
My works are held in private collections in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Australia and Ukraine.
In addition to painting and drawing, I also work with photography.
Since 2001, I have been a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP).
Since 2006, I have collaborated with the National Museum in Krakow, conducting workshops and museum classes for children. I also collaborate with the Podgórze Museum in Krakow.
